FlexPro – World’s Strongest RC Heli Landing Gear
FlexPro, Inc. was incorporated in January of 2008 and is dedicated to quality after-market landing and lighting products for the RC aviation community.
The company’s first product was a heavy-duty, crash resistant landing gear that utilized components and engineering principles to ‘de-couple’ the energy of severe landings. In addition to FlexPro’s landing gear’s unique abilities to absorb energy and prevent damage, the gear can be used in weather conditions that others cannot, such as freezing temperatures.
FlexPro landing gear currently fits on 400-450 and 500 class helis. Their unique design dramatically reduces damages as the helicopter does not bounce up and flip over on it’s side. This prevents the extensive and expensive damage typically seen with other RC heli landing gear.
The ability of FlexPro landing gear to withstand impacts that other landing gear cannot, provides another benefit by increasing pilot confidence in the early stages of learning to fly their aircraft.
400-450 Heavy Duty Crash Resistant Landing Gear
In October of 2008, TRex Tuning, a web site that specializes in technical reviews of RC heli products; gave FlexPro’s landing gear a highly favorable review for use by beginning or new pilots. The review at TrexTuning – 450 FlexPro Landing Gear cites the company’s product as innovative, highly energy absorbent, capable of reducing extensive damages, and built for durability.
FlexPro landing gear now encompasses two other models:
400-450 Crash Resistant Professional Landing Gear
For advanced to expert pilots, a streamlined version of the 400-450 heavy-duty, crash resistant gear is available. This version, titled the 400-450 Pro, has reduced the landing gear skid diameter by half, while doubling the wall thickness to retain the gear’s crash-resistant properties.
Heavy Duty Landing Gear for the Align 500
FlexPro has designed a new heavy duty, crash resistant landing gear for the newly released Align 500 RC heli. Retaining the design concepts of the critically-reviewed energy absorbing design of the FlexPro 400-450; the 500 gear added pioneering laser cutting and high durability air-craft quality aluminum struts for extra support.
A fourth model, retaining the innovative and durable design of the FlexPor 500 class landing gear is being carried over to a new 600 class landing gear, which is slated for release in January of 2009.
FlexPro – The N-Vison Line of Night Flight Gear
In the Spring of 2008 FlexPro began experimenting with new and innovative lighting concepts for illuminating RC helis and planes. After initial favorable test runs at Oregon and Washington Fly-In’s, FlexPro released it’s revolutionary N-Vison Tail Fins and Lightn’n Rods for 400-450 and 600 heli’s.

The FlexPro N-Vison illuminated Fins and Rods provide superior visiblity to the Lighted Rope currently in use, and are a fraction of the weight and power draw. The N-Vison gear is sold completely assembled, making installation of the night gear quick and easy. FlexPro’s N-Vison lighting systems draw minimal power from the RC Receiver, thus eliminating the need for heavy battery packs and switches.

In addition to the brilliant lighting at night, FlexPro’s N-Vison Fins and Rods are highly visible during the day, enhancing pilot orientation.
During the Fall of 2008, FlexPro extended it’s N-Vison illuminated night gear to RC planes. By adding a line of wiring harnesses adapted to Slow Sticks, Strykers and other RC planes, N-Vison gear brings new visibility and orientation to night flying for the fixed wing pilot.

As with the N-Vison gear for RC Helis, FlexPro’s night gear comes fully assembled for quick and easy installation. Another similarity between the N-Vison lighting system for RC Heli’s and Planes is that they take just a fraction of the power and weight of existing Lighted Rope systems.
